AVI ROSENFELD BAND
ALBUM REVIEWS
Shine
" now it is the time to dive on this "Shine" that has a wider focus, mixing funk, Folk, blues, reggae and world music, focusing on the latter in particular... the musical quality is more than evident and he continues to prove that he is one of the most talented and underrated rock musicians out there. "
" How can One not like a Collection that starts off with an Andalusia Rumba Influence?! Rosenfeld, still has elements of his Famous Classic Rock as well as World Beat, Israeli, Middle Eastern, C & W and Folk among others. A must have Album for Fans! " @RangerSeriesBlack
" Very good rhytmic. Excellent orchestration, riffs of guitar as I like them. Really a very good album. THANK YOU And good sax "perfect Pair"merci pour "Dans les rues de Paris" très bien dans le style. Chapeau l'artiste bravo A.Diegidio entre autres. " @GuyMuzic
" one emphasizes the folk / ethnic / gypsy rhythms of Shine and Chikidim; The sensational ballad Waiting On The Line; The rich and lush instrumental Dadan Karambolo; And especially all the Parisian sensuality carried by a passionate rhythm, an enchanted accordion and a magical female voice (courtesy of Roselyne Haye) at Dan Le Rue De Paris. "
Guinevere
" here things follow a more melodic approach, closer to folk, and with a More romantic and baladish character. Still we have some instrumental gleams like Mozart's rendition of "Turkish Rondo" in "Turkish Rondo Mozart Jam", and rock, jazz, folk and classical music come together."
" In my opinion this is where Avi Rosenfeld's "Classic Rock" merges with actual Classical Music, albeit Light and Pop Oriented. Violins, Accordion and Electric Bass have a Field Day! Check Out Track #7! Ultimately Unique, New and Super Fun Music. " @RangerSeriesBlack
TRAMONTANA
Still and always quite surprising and remarkably versatile.

There's not just quality music... there's variety, ingenuity, boldness, spirit, genuineness... and above all, a great pleasure in making music, showing all along. Listening to your albums, is like standing before a very appealing tapestry with a unique design, even if and because, it's made of many common places and different colors. Again, the proof via musical collaborations and worldly inspiration, that the differences can and effectively unite... so man's willing. Oh yes... just like happened in the previous album, also here, there are some superb guitar efforts. Quite comprehensive and stimulating. Good to hear from you...
Classic Rosenfeld

Good album

Again, I wish I understood Hebrew, for then I would have had an even greater blast from the album! The one thing you fail at is failure, and though I do not know your language I can confidently say that you are potentially one of the best on Jamendo. I will express a relative few of the thoughts I had listening to this album, without detracting from the clarity of the other songs. "Lord of Forgiveness" was a striking composition, beginning with what I presume to be traditional instrumentation and evolving into one of the best guitar pieces I have heard in the community. "Already Past Netanya" was also a nice surprise and made me think of American rock in the late fifties or early sixties. Actually, Hank Williams and other great Texan musicians came to mind. As an American, I can hugely appreciate that! "Ray of the Sun" had a current sound I didn't expect, either. Good sound! "Lovers Hunter" is something awesome and gritty, the likes of I haven't heard many good examples beyond the works of Deep Purple. It was rockin' good, seriously. "Forever"- George Harrison or Bob Seger? As an amateur connoisseur, I'm not sure, but I loved this bit exceptionally well. "Congratulations" was the stuff I would certainly label as classic rock. Catchy instrumentation and undeniably good vocals made this a killer- the good kind! All in all, the whole album was a fine mix of all kinds of good music. Thanks for sharing, and please continue to do so!

This will sound mad..and some people will even think it is mad..and crazy..but your music..really did evoke visions and images ...inside my head and mind ...and even heart..and filled me up... with fun filled fiesta moments as well. That made me smile and feel good and have a great time...inside this incredible sunshine album..of beauty and awe and sheer delight.. I pictured the holy place called Jerusalem.. at the wailing wall... and all the Orthodox Jewish men are praying and then suddenly over a very loud tannoyed you hear this album and music and voice..come out from no where....and you suddenly stop..listen and feel the vibrations and grace and harmony of live and giving..and hope..filter out and hit you..and make you feel blessed and happy and proud...
Mix Some Traditional Hebrew with Power Rock-Then Add The Twang of Country and Western and the Result is: TraMontana
RangerSeriesBlack • Dec 19, 2011
'TRAMONTANA', is a 12 track, Hebrew Language, Classic Rock-Country & Western and Traditional Israeli album. Listeners will not have to wait long to Sample the Style Elements mentioned in the Review Heading as Avi starts the Collections on a Powerful and "Straight to the Point" Note and Tracks 1,2 and 3 showcase this Artist's Extreme Skill and Limitless talent. Musically, Avi Rosenfeld's Style is a Complex but well Blended and Balanced with the Foundation of many of the tracks being based on Classic Rock and replete with Melodic Guitar Riffs and Abundant Electric Organ both of which are Anchored by Thumping Rock Beat Percussion but this only highlights the Sound of One Genre and Rosenfeld is anything but a One Genre Artist. Hebrews lyrics are Proudly and Prominently Drive the Vocals. Listeners unaccustomed to the Intonations esp those with a "Throaty" Delivery will be in for a Happy Surprise as Hebrew Lyrics have the unexpected ability to Meld with Harmoniously with American Fashion Hill Country-Blue Grass related Country and Western to Latin Rhythms as heard in Track #8. 'Samba'. Track #1. 'Adon Haselichot(Lord of Forgiveness)', commences with a Strident Solo Violin Voice in the most Traditional Style Imaginable then the track's Rock's Essence engages and the Traditional Melody is executed by Banshee Electric Guitar(s) and Thunderous Percussion. Add a Chorus of Male Voices singing the Melody and the Composition Serves as the Album's Flagship Work. Track #3. 'Kvar Avarnu Et Natanya', is the most "Hee Haw', Country and Western Fun Listeners will have East of Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Honky Tonky Guitar, Electric Bass, Drum Kit and, of course, Perfect Nasal-Twang, albeit Hebrew Language, Accent. Track #2. 'Yesh Li Mashehu', is the Quintessential--Avi Rosenfeld!. In other words, Pure, Smooth Classic Rock. The remaining tracks each have their own charm and most Listeners are sure to find something to strike their fancy. :D

Fantastic album, most rock and blues-rock,with an international collaboration of wonderful musicians!! just a little "wink"to klezmer on the first track, but I think Avi can give us a synthesis of his roots and influences, even more"imaginative" than this one... Anyhow, great thanks to him and all the musicians on this album!! and to Dom for the recc.!
Northern wind
bizun_ • Mar 25, 2012
I was confused a bit, why this one was not named "Kompositsia". It made me curious enough to search the net and to dig out the back story.Tramontana is an Italian word, denoting a strong cold wind, a bit similar to mistral, but blowing from the north. I might know better, why this word was used for title, if I had just basic understanding of the language of the lyrics. I can guess only, that Lebanon is northern of Israel... But it is not cold there. I don't know...Strictly musically, the album is just the same as the "Kompositsia" series: guitar, violin, male vocals singing modern Hebrew, and fine mix of blues with some Levant and Klezmer motives. The opening song says just about everything, melody is contagious. And after that it goes only better and better. Once again great craftmanship and talent. My opinion? Although this album is in my head mixed with the other Avi's productions, I still can remember some songs as coming from this particular record. It is all old, but on the other hand all new. Hard to copy with, eight stars then [++++++++--], You need to listen to it to agree or not.
True crossover, fusion, multiculti, worldmusic......

Again an international bunch of exquisite musicians has delilivered a colourful, diversified and eclectic album. One can hear all the different influences of these musicians and the huge span of genres. Rock, country, ballads, samba, funk, blues, jazzy stuff is represented here. Remarkable - of course- are the git-soli. The production quality´s also fantasic. Pro level. Ya´ll did a great job, guys !!!!! U.L.I.
As always, a superb kaleidoscopic tour

Yum yum, Avi has released his new pizza....:) So what's up inside this time? More Rock, even some classical hard rock riffs, not far from Deep Purple for instance, in several tracks. yeah!! But also many nice merging tracks, with violins and bluesy/jazzy sounds, salted by a touch of Pop, all very pro.... But the main thing is that Avi keeps his identity: he's a guy from Israel that has united many influences inside his music, with talent. Leolam? ( forever? ) lol

A Rip Roarin' Classic Rock Good Time
RangerSeriesBlack • Mar 9, 2013
This Album boils down to Three Things: Great Classic Rock(Guitar and Beat), Great Vocals-as exemplified by ( Male-Track #2. 'You Feel The Tango' and Female- #4'Johnny and Jamie') and Great Fun—Track #6. 'Ma Hu Amar Lach'(What did he tell you?'). The Fact is: all the aforementioned elements abound throughout the entire Album. So, start listening. ;-)
