VERY HEEPY VERY PURPLE VI

* " For those of us who just can't get enough '70s styled hard rock in the mold of the bands mentioned above, Avi Rosenfeld has done a great job these last few years keeping the spirit alive. Memorable songs, indulgent Hammond organ & guitar, and powerful vocals all add up to make number six in the series a real winner! "

* "and so has decided to gather his muso friends around him to pay homage to those bands through the …Purple albums. And bugger me if he hasn’t succeeded!"

* " in this sixth chapter we also have some influences from Rainbow ("Battles Rain") and Iron Maiden ("Help Me My Brother"). An album that despite having been recorded by a battalion of different musicians (a different alignment for each of the themes), has a remarkable consistency. Good classic hard rock songs that we recommend to know. "

* " Unless you know it wasn’t Heep you’d swear it was.

Guitars chug away with the big chords, washes out sound and deft solos locked in with swirling hammonds and keys just like it used to be. "

* " Songs as Battle Rain, Help Me My Borther or Dragon slayer, are real anthems that make us fly with the classcial Fender's guitar sound and the Hammond organ. Wonderful vocal and instrumental interpretations that will delight especially to those nostalgic, but that young people should not miss.."

* "in the beginning we were sceptical. But the first listen of their newest album Very Heepy Very Purple VI kind of turned things around. The band goes full Stoner Hard Rock on you with a style harking back to Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow."

* " to speak of this part VI is to speak once again of great compositions, superiorly elaborated, where the combination of all the instruments touches perfection and where the arrangements, dynamics and developments are remarkable. And this is a good term - Very Heepy Very Purpel VI is another remarkable work of Avi Rosenfeld! "

" And look who is back! This Israeli guitar player is releasing his thirtieth(!) album. If he were eighty years old it would also be an impressive list but Avi is still a young dude. That to me is still more distinctive that he records music like it would be Uriah Heep of Deep Purple. "

* SONG BY SONG Review by Ozzy Tom:

" All in all, “Very Heepy Very Purple VI” is (just like all the previous volumes) a perfect additional to any classic hard rock collection. The songs sound nothing like the XXI century music, so even if you include them in a playlist full of Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, and Rainbow stuff, no one is going to see the difference! Really!

" in ten songs there is a strong spirit of the 70s and 80s of the last century and also DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW, gifted with attractive melodies, catchy choruses and a touching keyboard. My heart was happy with the first, juicy Hard Rock "Battles Rain" with old Hammond, dusty steel strings and a beautiful harsh vocal."

" I liked 'Dragon Slayer', it's the sort of song I wish Richie Blackmore would write these days..."

" Actually a bunch of skilled to the teeth musicians conducted by leader Avi Rosenfeld make it true to throw me from one surprise into another. Yeah, I really like classic hard rock..."
